Job summary

Novant Health is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for our ASC in Center City Outpatient. This full-time position offers 4-10 hour day shifts, no weekends, no holidays, and no call or nights, with opportunities to work across orthopedics, robotics, ENT, and more.

The ideal candidate has ASC, PACU, or OR experience, and an RN license in the appropriate state. ACLS/PALS are preferred, with focus on prioritizing patient care and age-specific needs in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state required.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Must demonstrate ability to set priorities, organize workload, and modify care for age-specific needs.

Responsibilities

• Function as a team member in an ASC environment with cross-training to other areas including turnover.
• Support day-to-day ASC operations and patient care activities.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a high-performing, safe surgical environment.

The Registered Nurse ASC is able to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross-training to other primary areas including but not limited to assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day-to-day ASC operations.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Experience: One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • ACLS and PALS, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): Must have a thorough understanding of role of RN and the ability to carry out the functions as stated in the appropriate relevant state nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient’s age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
