Job summary

Asante is seeking a qualified registered nurse for our 3rd shift night pattern in Medford, OR. This 0.9 FTE, full-time role places you in a dynamic critical care setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

You will respond to life-threatening situations, utilize advanced nursing skills, and adapt priorities to patient acuity and staffing changes. Prior acute/critical care experience is preferred, with Oregon RN licensure and AHA BLS/ACLS

Qualifications

• RN license in Oregon required upon start
• ACLS required for all Critical Care Units; new grads have 4 months to obtain
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required upon start
• Experience in acute/critical care preferred
• New graduate RNs within 6 months of licensure may be considered

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
• Respond to life-threatening situations as part of rapid response and code teams

Salary Range:

$53.99 - $77.79

Shift Differentials

• $2.50 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• $10.00 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am
• $2.50 extra for working weekends

Our Critical Care Opportunities Include

Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU):

This critical care unit is comprised of 16 beds, operating 24 hours per day. With every private room, equipped with cameras to assist our nursing with direct patient visualization, we see a variety of patients suffering from serious conditions including sepsis, renal failure and liver failure, gastrointestinal bleeds, blood disorders, cancer, respiratory distress, withdrawal, cardiac and post-operative care. In this unit, you will experience a high level of teamwork while providing excellent care to a diverse population.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU):

Our Gold Beacon honored neuro-ortho ICU has a total of 24 beds, and we see it all here – from stroke to surgical to trauma. As a primary stroke unit, we offer a broad range of specialty services, including but not limited to, invasive intercranial pressure monitoring, continuous renal replacement therapy, advanced ventilation therapies, and trauma management. Our team is focused on creating an optimal work environment while delivering excellent care through best practices and expert patient care.

Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU):

As a Silver Beacon Award recipient, our CVICU includes 24 beds and has a concentration for coronary care including: coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, heart failure, balloon pumps, ventricular assist devices and cardiac arrest. This unit represents an exemplary team of nurses who work closely together in a positive and supportive work environment while providing excellent care for our patients who are suffering from life-threatening conditions.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop an individual’s plan for patients
• Respond to life-saving situations as a member of the rapid response and code team
• Utilize your advanced nursing skills to care for patients who are critically ill and are at a high risk for life-threatening medical conditions
• Demonstrate organizational skills in the delivery of nursing care to patients with flexibility and a willingness to adjust priorities in response to changes in patient acuity, volume, emergencies, staffing or scheduling
• Become part of an impressive and well recognized critical care team who delivers excellent patient care

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

• Previous acute care experience required
• Basic arrhythmia proficiency required
• Previous critical care experience preferred
• New Graduate RN's within 6 months of obtaining licensure may be considered without prior experience requirements

Licensure/Certifications

• RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start
• BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
• ACLS: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required upon start is required for all Critical Care Units. New grad RNs have 4 months to obtain.

• CCRN-A: Critical Care Registered Nurse – Adult (for ICU and CCU)
• CNRN: Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (for ICU and IMCU)
• PCCN: Progressive Care Certified Nurse (for IMCU)
• SCRN: Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (for ICU and IMCU)
• TCRN: Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (for ICU and IMCU)
• WCC: Wound Care Certified (for ICU, IMCU, and CCU)
