Job summary

Elliot Health System's Rheumatology team seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse for outpatient care of patients with autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. You will educate patients on disease management and coordinate care with physicians and MAs.

This role emphasizes teamwork, clinical judgment, and clear communication to support patients through complex treatment plans. Normal hours are M-F 7:30 am - 4 pm, with opportunities for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current NH RN license or Compact State license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient rheumatology patient care and education.
• Administer and monitor biologic and specialty medications.

We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our Rheumatology team, specializing in the care of patients with musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and psoriatic arthritis. This outpatient role involves close collaboration with physicians, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, coordinated care.

Key responsibilities include patient education on chronic disease management and lifestyle modifications, administration and monitoring of biologic and specialty medications, and supporting patients through complex treatment plans. Strong communication skills, clinical judgment, and a commitment to teamwork are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Involves patient/family in goal setting and planning and communicates that plan of care to patient and family for input; and to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings.
• Utilizes current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to guide practice and/or performance and identifies areas for improvement.
• Demonstrates competent clinical practice utilizing clinical decision making and critical thinking skills.

Education/Experience/Licensure

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Licensure: New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License.
• Technical Certification: Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment. ACLS preferred.
