Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Washington ambulatory nursing role provides comprehensive patient care within a defined group of patients, using the nursing process, assessments, and care planning to guide treatment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate services across the care delivery system and ensure safe, high‑quality outcomes.

The position requires an RN license (WA or compact), BLS, and strong communication, problem‑solving, leadership and decision‑making skills.

Qualifications

Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Registered Nurse License (Washington) required at hire OR Compact License: Registered Nurse required at hire
Basic Life Support required at hire
Communication, problem-solving, leadership and decision‑making skills.
Ambulatory care nursing experience preferred.
Primary nursing or case‑management experience preferred.
Bachelor of science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

Using the nursing process, assess the nursing care needs of a defined group of patients and develop a plan of care.
Collaborate with the health care team to implement the care plan and coordinate services across the care delivery system.
Provide and coordinate nursing care, including patient teaching and discharge planning, within ambulatory settings.
Monitor patient status, communicate changes, and adjust the care plan as needed.
Promote age-appropriate care and adapt nursing interventions to patient and family education needs.
