Summary of Job Duties:
Join our dedicated team at the Allergy, Immunization & Travel (AIT) Clinic, where you’ll play a key role in providing specialized care to students, faculty, and staff.

You’ll independently deliver a variety of clinical services understanding protocols. This includes:

• Administering allergy desensitization injections and managing potential reactions
• Coordinating and delivering any immunizations and other injectable medications
• Conducting tuberculosis screenings and providing treatment if needed
• Offering pre-travel consultations and vaccine guidance for international travel

You’ll collaborate closely with campus departments, the Arkansas Department of Health, and local public health units. Additionally, you’ll be cross trained to support our Primary Medical Clinic, help train new nursing staff and serve as a key member of our essential response team during campus emergencies or closures. Working hours Monday-Friday 8 AM-5PM

Essential Duties:

• Deliver nursing care in accordance with standing orders and clinical guidelines
• Perform patient assessments and administer vaccines and medications
• Provide travel health consultations tailored to destination-specific risks
• Support campus immunization clinics and maintain immunization documentation
• Respond to adverse reactions and perform emergency interventions as needed
• Cross-train and float to other Medical Clinics as needed
• Maintain reliable attendance and positive team collaboration

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications :

Registered Nurse I ( $61,735, commensurate with education and experience):

  • Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least 2 years of RN experience in an ambulatory or outpatient care setting

Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications.

  • Current CPR certification

  • Active RN license in the State of Arkansas

Registered Nurse II ($67,908, commensurate with education and experience):

  • Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least 2 years of RN experience in an ambulatory or outpatient care setting

Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications.

  • Current CPR certification

  • Active RN license in the State of Arkansas

  • Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) (E.g., Ambulatory Care Nursing). Registered Nurse Licensure that is relevant to the roles and responsibilities of the daily job duties of the position

  • Specialized training in college health, primary care, urgent care, or AIT-related services


Preferre d Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Previous ambulatory care or college health experience

  • Experience administering adult immunizations

  • Prior involvement in travel consults or international health preparation

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Knowledge of tuberculosis testing and follow up of abnormal results

  • Knowledge of allergy desensitization protocols and emergency response

  • Strong patient interview, communication, and clinical assessment skills

  • Proficient skill in administering injections and prioritizing urgent care situations

  • Ability to navigate electronic medical records (EMR)
