Job summary

Summary of Job Duties: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care as a Clinic RN. Responsibilities include coordinating care, triaging patients, collaborating with providers, facilitating appointments, and patient education on complex conditions. The RN will work with patients, families, and providers to develop and implement individual health plans. The position is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, at the UAMS Cancer Institute.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Associate’s, Diploma, or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Minimum of one (1) year RN experience
  • Valid RN License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Oncology Nursing Experience
  • Current BLS and National Nursing Certification

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Providing compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to female cancer patients
  • Collaborating with oncologists and interdisciplinary teams
  • Monitoring for side effects and emergencies
  • Educating patients and families
  • Performing nursing assessments and documentation
  • Supporting patients throughout cancer care phases
  • Assisting with clinic procedures
  • Participating in quality initiatives and staff training
  • Other duties as assigned
