Haverhill Pavilion Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for Admissions with overnight coverage. Shifts include 8- or 12-hour options, with a pay range of $39.25 to $55.00 per hour, plus a shift differential that may be higher on weekends. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for Nights Admissions RN.

Available schedules include Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (RN and Admissions Coordinator) or Tuesday–Friday, 10:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Review medical documentation for all admissions, complete medication reconciliation, and obtain admission orders from physicians.
• Facilitate emergency transfers for patients with medical conditions beyond our facility's capabilities.
• Review referrals from hospitals, facilities, and community agencies, assessing medical and behavioral acuity and responding within designated timeframes.
• Respond to inquiries about our facility, providing appropriate recommendations and information.
• Conduct assessments to determine the appropriate level of care within our facility.
• Collaborate with medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure appropriate recommendations and admissions.

Haverhill Pavilion Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a compassionate, organized, and customer-focused Admissions Coordinator / Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Admissions Team on the overnight shift. This position plays a critical role in connecting patients to care by coordinating referrals, facilitating communication between referral sources and providers, completing admissions when necessary, and ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions process.

The Overnight Admissions Coordinator / RN serves as the primary point of contact for prospective admissions during overnight hours. This individual coordinates the admissions process from referral through admission, ensuring timely communication, accurate clinical review, and exceptional customer service.

This role combines clinical assessment skills with strong organizational and relationship-building abilities to help ensure patients receive appropriate care as quickly and efficiently as possible. The Overnight Admissions Coordinator is responsible for reviewing overnight referrals, coordinating with referral sources and providers, obtaining necessary documentation, facilitating admission decisions, and completing admissions when necessary.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Clinical professional is responsible for facilitating admissions, clinical intake assessments, and utilization review processes to assure continuity for the most appropriate level of care for patients and their benefit/resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review medical documentation for all admissions, complete medication reconciliation, and obtain admission orders from physicians.

• Ensure timely receipt of all clinical information, including medical comorbidity, from referral sources or patients.
• Schedule and complete pre-admission assessments, consult with admitting physicians, and communicate disposition recommendations to patients or their families.
• Prepare and maintain accurate medical record documentation to facilitate payor authorization at the requested level of care.
• Complete initial pre-authorization for treatment and admission within payor timeframe guidelines.
• Admit patients to the registration and accounting system, completing all necessary admission and consent forms.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards patients, prioritizing their safety and promptly addressing concerns or complaints.
• Coordinate care for patients who are not being admitted, ensuring they receive appropriate follow-up care and referrals.
