Job summary

Loyola Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Rehab Unit (Gottlieb Memorial Hospital). This part-time, rotating-shift role focuses on high-quality care for adults 18+ with stroke, neuro, transplant, orthopedic and cardiac conditions.

Expect diverse cases, short stays, and opportunities to connect with patients on their road to recovery. The unit emphasizes teamwork, self-scheduling, and ongoing education, with a nurse residency program for new grads and tuition/certification

Qualifications

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing (BSN or ADN)
BLS certification required prior to hire
Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire
1 year of experience preferred (new grads welcome)

Responsibilities

Provide care on an Acute Rehab Unit with diverse diagnoses including stroke, neuro, transplant, orthopedic and cardiac patients aged 18+
Monitor patient progress and document accurately in medical records
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan and adjust care
Support patient education and discharge planning
