Job summary

The University of Miami is seeking a Full Time Staff Registered Nurse to support the Intermediate Care Unit (UTower).

The RN will coordinate and deliver patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, guided by the nursing process and standards of care. A BSN is preferred; ASN holders have 2 years to complete their BSN. Florida RN license with BLS/ACLS certification required; at least one year of acute care experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred; ASN holders have 2 years to complete BSN.
• Certification and Licensing: Valid Florida RN License, BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Experience: Minimum one year of acute care nursing experience; step-down services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate patient care as a registered nurse in accordance with nursing process and standards.
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
