Qualifications

  • Current State of Michigan RN licensure required.
  • Prior to assuming charge responsibilities, must have at least 12 months experience in nursing care including 3 months experience providing nursing care to maintenance Hemodialysis patients.
  • Previous dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct thorough physical and psychosocial assessments to develop individualized care plans.
  • Direct Patient Care: Implement evidence-based nursing interventions and orders for complex patient needs.
  • Continuous Evaluation & Advocacy: Monitor and adjust care to optimize outcomes and advocate for patients.
  • Meticulous Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions and responses.
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide oversight and mentorship to LPNs and technical staff as Charge Nurse when assigned.
  • Team Development: Assist in orientation and training of new team members to support quality patient care.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in Acute Dialysis, you'll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients during their most critical moments. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while developing expertise in specialized acute dialysis nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct thorough physical and psychosocial assessments utilizing diagnostic data and clinical expertise to develop individualized care plans that anticipate patient needs and support both short and long-term health goals.
  • Direct Patient Care: Implement evidence-based nursing interventions and medical orders to address the complex needs of patients and their families, with sensitivity to age-specific, psychosocial, and educational considerations.
  • Continuous Evaluation & Advocacy: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided, making real-time adjustments to optimize patient outcomes and serve as a strong advocate for patient needs.
  • Meticulous Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to care in accordance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Clinical Leadership: When assigned Charge Nurse responsibilities, provide clinical oversight and mentorship to LPNs and technical personnel, demonstrating professional excellence through role modeling, effective communication, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Team Development: Contribute to a culture of excellence by assisting in the orientation and training of new team members, fostering a supportive environment that promotes professional growth and quality patient care.
Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Graduate of state approved school of nursing required. Current State of Michigan RN licensure required.
