Job summary

The Valley Health System (VHS) operates Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, delivering comprehensive nursing care across emergency, maternity, NICU, pediatric, cardiovascular, surgical, women’s health and oncology services. The system emphasizes patient safety, evidence-based practice and service excellence in a collaborative care model.

Position requires graduate nursing education, RN licensure in Nevada, and current BLS; PALS/NRP may be required by department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN preferred.
• One-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of Nevada. BLS, PALS or NRP as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility policies and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees under supervision; demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
