Job summary

The Valley Health System, including Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking an experienced RN to provide safe patient care and lead the healthcare team in a busy acute care setting.

The role requires an RN license in NV, BSN preferred, and at least 1 year of acute care experience with relevant certifications. The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within VHS/UHS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
