Job summary

The Valley Health System (VHS) is seeking an RN at Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. The role emphasizes safe, competent nursing care and professional leadership within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, with BSN preferred, and an active Nevada RN license along with BLS and relevant advanced certifications. Pre-employment assessments are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire. BSN preferred.
• One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
