Job summary

CHS Career Site seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver patient-centered care through the nursing process and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

The RN will conduct assessments, administer medications, educate patients and families, adhere to infection control standards, and participate in life-saving CPR and code team activities as needed.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• RN license in state of Alabama or compact state required

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and the nursing process.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately, reporting changes to the care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for adverse effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within the scope of competency.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities.
• Provides patient and family education on conditions, treatment plans, and discharge care.
• Maintains infection control protocols and safe operation of medical equipment.
