Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center seeks an experienced RN for a 36-hour weekly day shift (7A–7P). You will provide, delegate and coordinate comprehensive nursing care, working with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs and improve outcomes.

The role requires current Iowa RN licensure, BLS, and proficiency with EMR systems. A supportive environment and strong benefits package accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in good standing with state board.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Able to perform computer data entry and navigate health IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain nursing care standards and hospital policies.
• Assess and document patient data and discharge planning factors.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor effectiveness.
• Respond efficiently in emergencies following protocols.
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff.
• Contribute to unit goals and performance improvement initiatives.
• Communicate clearly to patients, families and team.
