This full-time day-shift position focuses on care for patients with cardiac conditions, heart failure, rhythm disturbances, post-catheterization care and related telemetry support.

The RN will participate in transition-to-practice programs and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Monitor and care for Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit patients, including telemetry and post-catheterization care.
• Collaborate with physicians, unit-based staff and education to promote patient safety and quality outcomes.
