Job summary

Franciscan Health Munster Campus in Munster, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver comprehensive nursing care and develop patient-centered plans of care. Responsibilities include assessing patients, education for families, and coordinating care with physicians within a faith-based, mission-driven setting.

The RN will apply clinical knowledge, adjust plans based on patient needs, and ensure adherence to nursing standards while supporting Franciscan Alliance processes.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license to practice in the state (or NLC)
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Experienced and new graduate nurses are welcome to apply
• Team-oriented RN willing to be flexible and dynamic in meeting patient care needs

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing total comprehensive nursing to patients and their families through the development of a plan of care, including implementing, reassessing, evaluating and revising the plan of care. The RN develops these patient-specific plans by performing psychosocial/physiologic assessments, considering patients’ cultural/ ethico/ spiritual needs, reviewing trends of similar patients, as well as considering physicians’ orders regarding care. The RN integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care to include patient and family education, and actively supports and incorporates nursing regulations and standards, as well as Franciscan Alliance processes and procedures in daily practice.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Minimum Start Pay $34.00/hr

• Typical patient ratios of 1:5
• Chemotherapy trained/certified after a year
• Peritoneal dialysis training
• Current Openings for: Full-Time: 0.9 FTE Day, Every other weekend and rotating holidays requirement.
• Preferred: Having passed NCLEX to interview

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required: Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
• Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing/Patient Care from an accredited program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing/Patient Care from an accredited program
• Required: Experienced and new graduate nurses are welcome to apply
