Registered Nurses are needed at Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (LMNTC). This posting is for multiple RN vacancies on various floors and shifts at Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center.The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the nursing team, which serves to provide an interdisciplinary approach to the care planning process of our residents. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Identifying and assessing residents needs/nursing/health needs.
  • Administering medications as directed by physicians.
  • Working closely with the medical staff to provide quality medical care.
  • Serving as "charge nurse", overseeing daily nursing care, consisting of coordinating all licensed and non-licensed staff duties in accordance with Board of Nursing delegation and responsibilities.

THIS POSITION IS DESIGNATED MANDATORY AND MUST REPORT OR STAY OVER DURING ADVERSE WEATHER EVENTS OR OTHER EMERGENCIES.

Shift preferences will be discussed in the interview and will depend on staffing needs. In addition to our traditional work schedules listed below, flexible schedules may be available.

1st shift (days) 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

2nd shift (evenings) 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

3rd shift (nights) 11:15 PM - 7:15 AM

Work schedules include weekend and holiday rotations. For training/education purposes and to meet facility needs, flexibility is required. Shift Premium Pay for 8 Hour Shifts: Saturday and Sunday Day Shift: 10% Saturday and Sunday Evening Shift:30%Monday - Friday Evening: 20%; Friday, Saturday, Sunday Night Shift: 30%Monday - Thursday Night Shift: 20% Shift Premium Pay for 12 Hour Shifts: 7am-7:30pm (no premiums) 7:00pm-7:30am (eligible for evening shift premium rates) Per G.S. 126-5 (c1) (37), this position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 (State Human Resources Act) with the exception of Articles 6 and 7. Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (LNMTC), located in Wilson, NC, is a state-operated certified Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). With a staff of about 520, LNMTC provides support to approximately 200 residents with complex medical needs and/or co-existing neuro-cognitive disorders.

ELIGIBILITY FOR SIGN-ON BONUS

Qualified applicants must be selected from the candidate pool of this posting and meet the State policy following requirements:A newly hired permanent full time or permanent part-time employee who works 30 to 40 hours per week is eligible for a sign-on bonus (this will be prorated for employees working less than 40 hours per week).An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:

  1. the employee has held a position in North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date);
  2. the employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency;
  3. or DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.
