Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Acute Care Adult Medical Unit & Surgical Overflow (4 East) at the Main Campus - Glick facility in Cleveland, OH. You will care for inpatient medicine, spinal surgery recovery, and trauma overflow, performing wound care, drains management, time management, and critical thinking.

Required are Ohio RN licensure, BLS certification, and graduation from an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and Ohio RN licensure.
• Current AHA BLS for healthcare provider certification or within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient acute care on 4 East with spinal surgery recovery and trauma overflow.
• Perform wound care, drains management, and coordinate care with team.
• Demonstrate time management and critical thinking in a fast-paced unit.

Primary Patient Population:

• Inpatient Medicine
• Spinal surgery recovery
• Trauma overflow

Primary skills utilized/learned:

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT

Number of beds on unit:

• 34 beds (14 private rooms, 20 semi-private rooms)

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
