Arnot Health in New York’s Southern Tier is hiring a Registered Nurse for the 3B/3C Acute Inpatient Units. This full-time role offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative team environment, and opportunities for ongoing learning.

The RN must complete an accredited nursing program, hold NY license or eligibility, and obtain BLS, ACLS, and Stroke certifications before the introductory period ends. Onsite, 12-hour shifts with weekend/holiday rotation, benefits and sign-on are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and eligible to obtain NY licensure.
• Current NY RN license or eligibility for licensure.
• BLS, ACLS and Stroke certifications required before completion of introductory period.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with a variety of needs on the 3B/3C Acute Inpatient Units.
• Use person-centered care and prioritize patient needs.
• Communicate effectively with health care professionals and patients.
• Demonstrate clinical skills and documentation accuracy.
• Educate patients and families; serve as a resource on department standards.

Use a person-centered care approach in the development of care, and effectively prioritize patient needs that are both expected and unanticipated.Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact with other health care professional and patients.Demonstrate competence and resourcefulness in the implementation of the technical skills required to care for the patient.
