Registered Nurse (RN) – Endocrinology / Infectious Disease Clinic

Contract Role (with Potential for Permanent Hire)

Overview:

This position supports the Endocrinology and Infectious Disease Clinic at a Phoenix-based medical center, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with endocrinology-related conditions. The team is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract role with the potential for permanent hire to support clinical operations during an upcoming maternity leave beginning in February.

The clinic would ideally like someone to start as soon as possible to allow for training and ensure continuity of care. While this role is initially contract, strong performance may lead to a permanent full-time opportunity within the organization.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday

Pay Rate

• $38–$45/hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate ER transfers (“ER runs”) when patients require emergency care
• Manage and respond to work pool messages under physician direction
• Coordinate patient care with Home Health services
• Handle inbound patient phone calls, addressing clinical questions and concerns
• Provide patient-facing care, including injections, patient education, and physician assistance
• Serve as a clinical resource to Medical Assistants, answering questions and providing guidance
• Complete Direct Patient Care (DPC) and administrative nursing duties
• Act as a point of contact and resource when providers are unavailable
• Support lab patients as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, MAs, and clinic leadership to ensure continuity of care

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – required
• Prior outpatient or clinic-based RN experience
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient education skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
