Job summary

Ma’at Enterprises is seeking Registered Nurses to support the Phoenix Indian Medical Center Operating Room. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, an active RN license without disciplinary actions, and certifications such as BCLS/CPR and ACLS/PALS/NALS as required by the specialty.

Positions are full-time in Phoenix, AZ. Immunizations and health clearance are required, and prior OR nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS, NALS certifications as required by specialty.
• Active immunizations and health clearance.

Responsibilities

• Initiate the nursing process for admitted patients and educate them.
• Carry out physician orders and administer medications and therapies.
• Manage therapeutic devices and equipment used in the OR.
• Measure and assess vital signs, status, and responses to treatment.
• Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Document care and changes in patient condition in the unit records.
• Collaborate with health care providers and hospital staff.
• Assign and supervise ancillary nursing staff in patient care.
• Perform quality checks for crash carts, labs, and glucose monitoring.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, etc.) as needed.
• Recognize emergencies and initiate resuscitation measures.
• Identify adverse reactions and intervene appropriately.
• Answer calls, screen and initiate medical orders as needed.

Ma’at Enterprises is currently seeking Registered Nurses to support the Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC) Operating Room.

Requirements as follows:

Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, with 2 years of experience within the respective specialty.

Minimum Education: A.S. Degree from an Accredited Nursing School Program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, preferred and current RN License free from disciplinary actions.

Current certification in BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)/CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and NALS (Neonatal Advanced Life Support) is required as determined by specialty area.

Employee Health Clearance- Current immunizations required.

Applicants must have active and unrestricted, current licensure as a Professional Registered Nurse as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.

Registered Nurse Specialty duties as follows:

• 1. Initiate the nursing process for admitted patients. Assess, design, implement and evaluate nursing interventions. Follow through with planned nursing actions and patient education.
• 2. Carry out physician orders; administer medications, blood and/or blood by-products, oxygen, and a variety of treatments.
• 3. Manage a wide variety of therapeutic devices such as drainage, feeding and suction tubes also respiratory and electrocardiograph machines and other medical equipment and supplies.
• 4. Measure and assess vital signs, height, weight, and neurological status, effects of medication, visual acuity and hearing.
• 5. Provide direct patient care; assist patients with activities
• 6. Observe and document patient care provided changes in patient’s conditions, observations and other designated unit activities in the accepted format and form.
• 7. Collaborate and coordinate patient care with other health care providers and hospital staff.
• 8. Assign and direct the patient care provided by ancillary nursing staff.
• 9. Perform quality control for crash cart checks, lab checks, capillary blood glucose monitoring checks, etc.
• 10. Collect or assist in collection of specimens, i.e., blood, urine, stool, etc.
• 11. Recognize life-threatening emergencies, initiate and maintain resuscitation measures and other emergency Procedures as appropriate to the situation.
• 12. Recognize adverse reactions to medications, treatments, and procedures and initiate interventions as appropriate to the situation.
• 13. Answer and screen telephone calls, take off and initiate medical orders.
