Job summary

Last Resort Recovery Center is seeking Registered Nurses to join our multidisciplinary team focused on addiction treatment and recovery. The RN will deliver direct patient care, monitor progress, and administer treatments per medical protocols in a compassionate, evidence-based approach.

Responsibilities include advocating for patients, coordinating with the care team, and maintaining meticulous medical records to support ongoing recovery. A current RN license and nursing degree are required.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state or jurisdiction.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
• Experience in healthcare or addiction treatment settings.
• Strong knowledge of patient care standards, safety protocols, and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing addiction treatment and recovery, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and telemetry monitoring when applicable.
• Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery processes, and health maintenance to empower informed decision-making.
• Advocate for patient needs and coordinate with healthcare providers, social workers, and other team members to optimize care delivery.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records, participate in care planning meetings, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

From personalized therapy sessions that integrate evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to holistic approaches that emphasize mindfulness, nutrition, and physical wellness, our programs are designed to support clients every step of the way. The Last Resort offers a unique and powerful approach to addiction recovery through our Equine Therapy program. Nestled in the serene outskirts of Austin on our 55-acre ranch, our campus provides men with the opportunity to heal and grow from drug and alcohol abuse.

We are seeking Registered Nurses to add to our dynamic team! The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services focused on addiction treatment and recovery. This position involves providing direct patient care, monitoring patient progress, and administering treatments in accordance with established medical protocols. The RN will serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that individuals receive compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to their unique needs. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential to develop and implement effective care plans that promote healing and long-term recovery. Ultimately, the RN contributes to improving patient outcomes by combining clinical expertise with patient education and support throughout the recovery journey.

Bonus Structure - $2,500 Total

• $500 – Upon Hire
• $500 – 90 Days
• $1,500 – One Year

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or addiction treatment settings
• Certification in Addiction Nursing (e.g., Certified Addictions Registered Nurse - CARN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and managing patients with complex medical needs
• Advanced certifications such as Nurse Practitioner (NP) credentials
• Training in patient advocacy and education techniques specific to addiction recovery
• Experience working in interdisciplinary healthcare teams within addiction recovery programs
