Job summary

Capital Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the team in a 1.0 FTE capacity located in Rockford, IL. The role focuses on delivering quality patient care through a collaborative nursing process, ensuring safety and effective discharge planning.

The position requires an Associate's degree in nursing, RN licensure, and specific certifications (TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, PALS, NRP) with advancement within 6–12 months as applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse license; TNCC/CT网络 credentials per unit requirements.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers; ACLS/NRP/PALS as applicable within 6–12 months.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification or obtain by orientation.
• Other required credentials and ongoing CNE hours as specified.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care as part of the patient care team.
• Ensure patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Support pain management and comfort measures for patients and families.
• Communicate patient condition and discharge planning information.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and Joint Commission readiness.
• Attend educational sessions to enhance competency and staffing plans.
