Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current LA RN license; professional organization membership encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician and document patient responses.
• Monitor patients and respond to changes in condition; document vitals and care notes.
• Collaborate with physicians and other hospital departments to coordinate care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety codes, and compliance programs; report incidents.
• Assist in operational functions and scheduling as needed.
• Promote effective communication and education for patients and families.
• Perform other duties as requested and support agency goals.
