The NYS Office of Children and Family Services is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to join its interdisciplinary team. You will coordinate and monitor medical care for residents, perform comprehensive nursing assessments, administer medications, and follow physician orders.
This role emphasizes health education, collaboration with guardians and staff, discharge planning, meticulous documentation in Excel/Word, and commitment to a safe, therapeutic environment.
The RN 1 serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team performing various nursing duties, including coordinating and monitoring all aspects of medical care for residents.

Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
Salary Schedule for the position is as follows:
$99,576 -$108,970 - Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 18 and Geographic Differential ($20,000).
This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). To be considered for appointment through NY HELPS, candidates must meet the open-competitive minimum qualifications for this position. For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title maybe filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply. It is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in a NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.
