Job summary

TALENT Software Services seeks a nursing professional for a role at a rural hospital in Vinita, OK. The position emphasizes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care using the nursing process, and monitoring patient functional status in line with hospital standards.

Shifts are nights 7p-7a (2 x12); relocation assistance is available for those moving from a distance. Flexible schedule and rural community setting offered. No sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Up to six (6) months of related experience.
• Knowledge of disease state management, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways.
• Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

• Detail-oriented in examining clinical and numerical data.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care for patients, considering patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors.
• Document steps of the nursing process using proper medical terminology; address problems and progress toward goals.
• Facilitate patient discharge through timely referrals and patient education resources, suitable to patient age and cultural/psychosocial factors.
• Collaborate with other disciplines; support unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities by attending in-services and completing variance reports.

The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care by utilizing the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies/procedures. The focus is on monitoring and evaluating patient functional status.

Job Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care for patients, considering patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors.
• Document steps of the nursing process using proper medical terminology; address problems and progress toward goals.
• Facilitate patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources, suitable to patient age and cultural/psychosocial factors.
• Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate; support unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities by attending in-services, meeting unit education standards, and completing variance reports.

Decision Making

• Exercise independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only.

Working Relationship

• Coordinate activities of others (does not supervise) and lead others in the same work performed (does not supervise).
• Provide input on performance evaluations but do not prepare or give them.
• Work directly with patients and/or customers, as well as internal and external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and staff, frequently interacting with individuals at Director level or above.
