Job description

Posting Date
05/05/2025
196 West North Ave, Villa Park, Illinois, 60181-1226, United States of America

No On-Call

Dialysis Experience Required

The SNF dialysis RN primary work location will be at Bella Terra in Lombard, IL.

Approximately 10% of all dialysis patients reside in a Skilled Nursing Facility and are transported to dialysis three times a week, which adds a significant burden on patients and increases avoidable healthcare costs. DSD Services teammates have access to all the capabilities and resources DaVita offers.

DaVita SNF Dialysis dens operate Monday-Saturday. Shifts are likely to be 12+ hours, but can vary. The schedule is likely to be 3 days per week with NO on-call. The den has 6 chairs and operates with 1 RN & 1 CCHT.

Teammates must be comfortable working autonomously and have demonstrated the ability to collaborate across the organization.

What you can expect:

In this role, you are responsible for the ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track. DSD RNs troubleshoot and make sound decisions, occasionally partnering with SNF staff to coordinate care.

Patient education: RNs are educators. You will have the opportunity to conduct impactful education to patients and their families in the SNF setting.

Direct Patient Care: The RN's primary responsibility is to independently demonstrate best practice techniques and deliver optimal dialysis care, supervising Dialysis Technicians to meet capacity and efficiency goals.

Complexity: DSD Dialysis care is complex but fulfilling. Meeting clinical outcomes and multitasking are essential to serve patients and SNF partners effectively.

Autonomy and Critical Thinking: Provide comprehensive care in an independent setting, constantly assessing, diagnosing, and planning care to impact patients' lives positively.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Current RN license in the state of practice; minimum 12 months' RN experience.
  • Previous Chronic Hemodialysis, Acute Dialysis, and/or Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) nursing experience.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) from an accredited school; B.S.N. or diploma may substitute.
  • Basic computer skills, proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Training/Teaching/Healthcare Education background.
  • Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
What We Provide:

Our rewards include comprehensive benefits, support for families, paid training, and career development programs like THRIVE, DSSL & SPARK, CEU courses, and Gateway for career planning.
