Base Pay Range: $36.95 - $55.43

Inland Imaging in Spokane, WA is recruiting for a Full Time RN Monday-Friday day shift. No weekends, no call. ACUTE CARE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE FOR EXPERIENCED NURSES.

The Registered Nurse must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment, meeting continual deadlines; handle multiple priorities with constant interruptions; be highly organized. The RN will interact with physicians, other departments, patients, family members, and outside contacts, demonstrating excellent written, verbal, and personal communication skills and maintaining confidentiality.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities
  • Assesses patient needs by phone and in person for appropriateness of procedure/exam and/or sedation; obtains medical history and prior sedation reaction history, current physical condition, and reviews physiological systems; provides accurate explanation of procedure/exam, pre-procedure instructions, answers questions & addresses concerns of patient and family; adapts assessment and care plan to age-specific requirements.
  • Monitors patient during procedure for level of sedation, adverse reactions, and responds to changes in patient status.
  • Performs parenteral procedures such as contrast injections, IV starts, and venipuncture for lab specimens.
  • Collaborates with technologists during exams.
  • Maintains controlled substances security and all medication used at Inland Imaging centers, including adequate supply levels, restocking daily, monitoring expiration dates, and securely storing narcotic keys and locked drug boxes; documents and appropriately charges patients for medications and supplies.
  • Follows current Washington State Nurse Practice Act for the administration of medications and IV solutions.
  • Proficient in tracking patient data in Medicalis and EPIC; performs essential duties within MRI safety zone, adhering to MRI Safety Compliance.
  • Administers TB tests and flu shots, reads TB results for employees and radiologists.
  • Responds to emergency situations as first responder for code situations and all contrast reactions.
  • Practices principles of radiation safety, consistently maintains personal radiation badge, reviews quarterly radiation exposure report, and practices MRI safety.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including general duties and responsibilities, maintaining strict confidentiality, following all health and safety policies, respecting workplace policies, and participating in continuing education.
  • Attends quarterly quality assurance meetings and meets attendance requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities

There is no supervisory responsibility in this position.

Qualifications
  • Education: AA Degree required, Accredited Nursing Program required.
  • Experience: One year of acute care RN experience required; minimum of two to three IV starts per day preferred; post anesthesia patient care experience preferred; conscious sedation / moderate sedation competency; interventional radiology experience preferred; anatomy and medical terminology knowledge; medical office experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Must maintain current Washington State RN licensure; must not have an active judgment against state nursing license or an active enforcement action against nursing license.
  • Certifications: Current ACLS required; current CPR/BLS required; Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification or Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification, Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) helpful.
  • Computer Skills: Experience with Outlook, Workday, Qgenda, Stentor, Medicalis, EPIC, and Intranet required; experience with computer applications and keyboarding required.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults; must not be on the Department of Health & Human Services OIG list of excluded individuals.
  • Drug Test: Eligible employees must pass a post‑offer, pre‑employment drug test which includes marijuana.
