Job summary

Job Title

Supplemental Radiologic Technician – Student

Summary

Performs general diagnostic radiography exams, including fluoroscopy, under the direct or indirect supervision of a Radiologist and/or a licensed and certified Radiologic Technologist per Inland Imaging guidelines and protocols.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities
  • Assists patients as needed to obtain quality exams.
  • Physically maneuvers/lifts patients, with assistance from other staff, to a standing position to perform x‑ray exams.
  • Physically maneuvers/lifts patients, with assistance from other staff, to an exam table to perform x‑ray exams.
  • Prepares exam rooms.
  • Maintains clean and stocked exam rooms.
  • Assists in the appropriate transportation of patients as needed.
  • Schedules radiologic and fluoroscopic exams.
  • Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed.
  • Assists patients in setting up for procedures involving radiographic/fluoroscopic examination.
  • Assists other staff in preparing rooms for procedures involving the use of radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Maintains clean radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Participates with the training of students in the educational radiologic technologist program.
  • Performs diagnostic images.
  • Performs portable radiographic exams, including in the morgue.
  • Works in hospital, urgent care, or clinical settings as required.
  • Performs general diagnostic radiography exams, including fluoroscopy, in OR, Endoscopy, ASC, SMAU, PACU, and other appropriate areas with the supervision and assistance of a licensed technologist/RT.
  • Sets up sterile trays for fluoroscopic‑guided procedures.
  • Assists radiologist or mid‑level personnel with fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Administers oral/rectal contrast during fluoroscopic exams.
  • Administers IV contrast during GU studies.
  • Assists physicians (non‑radiologist) with fluoroscopic/C‑arm procedures.
  • Operates C‑arm in OR, Endoscopy, ASC, and Short‑Stay.
  • Follows all Health and Safety policies and guidelines of Inland Imaging or its partners.
  • Follows company policies regarding harassment, non‑retaliation, discrimination, respectful workplace, and related policies.
  • Follows policies regarding HIPAA, non‑disclosure of confidential information and company security.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality within the Inland Imaging companies and its customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Attends quarterly quality assurance meetings; attendance is required.
  • Runs shifts and locations as needed.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED – required.
  • Current enrollment with good standing in an Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program – required.
  • First‑year of Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program completed – required.
  • Anatomy and medical terminology – preferred.
  • Medical office experience – preferred.
  • Understanding of procedures to be read by radiologist – preferred.
  • Must maintain current Washington State X‑Ray Technician Registration.
  • Current CPR/BLS required.
  • Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, Webex, ISite, Qgenda, Internet/Intranet, EPIC, Medicalis, Datix, or Inland Imaging Incident reports is highly desired.
  • Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 for work with children under 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults.
  • Must be cleared against the LIST OF EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS per the OIG.
  • Must pass a post‑offer, pre‑employment drug test.
