Job summary

Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our compassionate team. The RN will provide direct patient care, collaborate with physicians and the nursing staff, and help maintain a safe, healing environment using modern technology.

Education: Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Licensure: Georgia RN license, BLS; ACLS within 6 months; Crisis Training within 6 months. Experience: one year preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS within 6 months of employment.
• Non-violent Crisis Training within 6 months of employment.
• Basic Dysrhythmia Interpretation Course or validation within 1 year of employment.
• Basic Critical Care Course or validation within 2 years of employment.
• Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance and supervision of the nurse, the supervisor shares the responsibility for total patient needs and delivers care.
• Assist a physician or nurse practitioner as needed to provide all care.

Under the guidance and supervision of the nurse, the supervisor shares the responsibility for total patient needs. As a member of the nursing team, he/she performs a variety of technical and skilled patient care duties, many of which were acquired through nursing education and supervised on-the-job training and experiences. The Registered Nurse shares the responsibility of providing a safe and comfortable environment conducive to healing while delivering quality care. Assist a physician or nurse practitioner as needed to provide all care.

Education:

• Associates Degree
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• Basic Dysrhythmia Interpretation Course or successful completion of validation exam within 1 year of employment
• Basic Critical Care Course or successful completion of validation exams within 2 years of employment
