Job summary

State of Arkansas Division of Local Public Health – Benton County Local Public Health Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care across hospitals, clinics, and community programs.

The RN will assess health, develop and adjust care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with health regulations; CPR is required.

Qualifications

  • Current RN licensure in Arkansas.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Develop, implement, and update patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions and wellness practices.

Additional Preferences:

Frequent state and regional travel to work in other Local Health Clinics is required. Occasional out-of-state travel may be required for training purposes. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Occasional work outside of standard business hours may be required.

CPR certification required.

Experience working with electronic health records preferred.

Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.

Exposure to environmental hazards may occur.

Job Summary

Registered Nurses (RNs) provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health programs. RNs assess patient health, develop care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Primary Responsibilities

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.Ability to perform physical assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.Proficiency in administering medications and treatments safely.Strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas.
