Job summary

Abloom Home Care in Rocky Mount, NC, seeks a Registered Nurse to conduct in-home assessments, manage aides, and ensure patient care according to established plans. The ideal candidate will have a graduate nursing degree, a valid RN license in NC, and 1-3 years of nursing experience. Benefits include a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement. Qualifications

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Initial in-home assessment, development of the plan of care as applicable and regularly supervises the needs of the client every 90 days.
• Manage in-home aides to ensure the level of care is being rendered according to the plan of care.
• Observe and report changes in the patient's physical and/or emotional condition.
• Initiate preventative procedures as appropriate for the patient's care and safety and effecting changes in environment to ensure patient safety and security.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and agency matters.
• Submit required documentation in a timely manner.
• Assist the administrator in decision making and policy formation as it pertains to the home care services.
• In addition to scheduled hours, participating in weekend/holiday call schedule, as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Valid and current RN license in the state of North Carolina
• CPR & 1st aid certified, good standings on nurse registry
• 1-3 years of nursing experience (home care experience, preferred)
• Supervisory skills, a plus
• Excellent communication skills, flexible and able to interact positively with the rest of the staff
• Strong sense of initiative and urgency in addressing unexpected patient crises
