Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) Services program in Chico, CA. The RN will conduct assessments for adult consumers with medical complexities in intermediate care facilities and adult residential facilities.

Pay ranges from $46.10 to $49.54 per hour, with flexible days (M, W, F 8a-4:30p with 30 min lunch). Comprehensive training is provided to support ongoing education and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active and unrestricted RN license in California.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, care plan development, and admission/discharge activities.
• Ability to contribute to interdisciplinary programs and teach nursing curriculum to staff.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• 2 years’ experience in community health, long-term care, or working with developmentally disabled populations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with doctors and APPs and assist staff with medical concerns.
• Teach medication certification classes to staff.
• Spend time between the office and residential facilities, ensuring comprehensive care and support.
• Oversee and monitor medication supplies.
• Advise on the need for urgent care or hospital visits.
