Job summary

Merakey seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities on the AVS campus. The nurse will support 5 residential buildings and 6 group homes, delivering essential health services.

Responsibilities include clinical assessments, medication administration, enteral feedings, respiratory treatments, and care for acute conditions. Schedule is Mon-Fri 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN license required.
• One year RN experience preferred.
• Genuine interest in working with adults with IDD.
• Valid PA driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adults with IDD.
• Perform clinical assessments and monitor health status.
• Administer medications and manage treatment protocols.
• Deliver enteral feedings and respiratory therapies as prescribed.

Merakey is seeking a Registered Nurse who will make an impact on the lives of adults living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

Schedule:

M - F 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Base Pay

• Standard base rate: $38.00 per hour
• Optional Enhanced Pay: +$2.00 per hour (for full-time employees opting out of our primary medical/dental/vision)

Program Description:

Merakey AVS is a non-profit organization which provides homes and a full range of services to adults with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the individuals that we support are diagnosed with severe or profound IDD. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors.

Position Description:

The nurse will work on the AVS campus with 5 residential buildings and 6 group homes totaling 107 residents. The nurse willprovide direct nursing care to adults with developmental and physical disabilities by completing clinical assessments, administering medications, acute medical emergent conditions, providing enteral feedings as well as respiratory treatments and care.
