Job summary

CalvertHealth in Maryland is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in the surgical setting. The RN may act as circulator or scrub nurse depending on case needs.

The role requires a Diploma in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing, with an unexpired Maryland RN license or compact state license. 6 months to 1 year of direct experience is preferred, with strong computer skills and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Position requires completion of a Diploma Nursing Program or an Associate Degree in Nursing (AA) or higher.
• Unexpired state licensure from Maryland Board of Nursing or compact state board of nursing.
• RN Certification in specialty is preferred.
• 6 months - 1 year of directly related experience.
• Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies and mandatory learning as per GA-057 policy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Access, Word and Outlook.

Job description

• Provide nursing care to patients in the surgical setting. RN may function in the circulator or scrub role.
• Education:
• Position requires completion of a Diploma Nursing Program or an Associate Degree in Nursing (AA) or higher.
• Registration/Certification/Licensure:
• Unexpired state licensure from Maryland Board of Nursing or compact state board of nursing
• Registered Nurse Certification in specialty, preferred
• Experience:
• Position requires 6 months - 1 year of directly related experience.
• Other Requirements:
• Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
• Maintains unit specific and hospital competencies in accordance with policy requirements
• Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements to include Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel, Access, Word and Outlook.
• Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing, and in promoting a positive work atmosphere.
