Job summary

Goldwater Care Pontiac is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. The RN will lead day-to-day nursing activities and ensure quality care.

The role requires an active RN license in the state, ability to work 12-hour shifts, and passing a background check. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and provide reports.
• Lead nursing personnel on your unit/shift.

• Chart nurse notes in an informative manner.
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain rapport with inter-departmental staff.
• Create a warm, positive unit atmosphere.
• Administer catheterization, tube feeding, dressings as required.
• Monitor safety and equipment usage; ensure compliance.
• Maintain resident care confidentiality and report issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Goldwater Care Pontiac. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing direct nursing care to our residents and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and make written and oral reports as required
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift
• Complete and file required recordkeeping forms/charts upon admission, transfer, and/or discharge
• Receive and transcribe telephone orders from physicians and record on the Physician's Order Form
• Chart nurse notes in an informative and descriptive manner
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis throughout the unit and shift
• Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feedings, and applying and changing dressings/bandages, as required
• Monitor assigned personnel to ensure compliance with established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information and report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information
• Perform other duties as assigned
