Job summary

Goldwater Care Pontiac is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care and supervise daily activities for residents in our long-term care facility. You will ensure high-quality care and maintain accurate records under the Director of Nursing.

The role includes supervising CNAs, transcribing orders, charting notes, and administering medications. Candidates should have an active LPN license, CPR certification, and LT-Care experience; 12-hour shifts required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with current unencumbered state licensure.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
• Complete and file required recordkeeping forms/charts upon admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
• Receive and transcribe telephone orders from physicians and record on the Physician’s Order Form.
• Chart nurse notes in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift.
