Job summary

The State of Oklahoma OCCIC is seeking highly skilled Registered Nurses to provide direct or indirect professional nursing services to high‑risk individuals in crisis. Responsibilities include nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluations, health‑related education, case management, and administration of medications prescribed by authorized prescribers.

This full‑time position features four 10‑hour shifts weekly (evenings and nights).

Qualifications

  • RN III: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, valid permanent Oklahoma RN license, one year of professional nursing experience; or Associate in Nursing with two years nursing experience; or Associate in Nursing with three years LPN experience in psychiatric nursing.
  • RN II: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, valid permanent Oklahoma RN license or eNLC license; or Associate in Nursing with one year nursing experience; or two years LPN psychiatric experience.
  • RN I: Associate in Nursing, valid permanent Oklahoma RN license or eNLC license.

Responsibilities

  • Nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluations and health‑related education.
  • Case management and execution of medical regimes including administering medications and treatments prescribed by authorized prescribers.

Job Description

The Oklahoma County Crisis Intervention Center (OCCIC) is seeking highly skilled nurses to provide direct or indirect professional nursing services to high‑risk individuals in crisis. Responsibilities include nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluations, health‑related education, case management, and execution of medical regimes including administering medications and treatments prescribed by authorized prescribers.

Employment Details
  • Full‑time position, four 10‑hour shifts per week; days vary.
  • Shift schedule: evenings (2:00 PM – 12:00 AM) and nights (9:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
  • State employees receive a benefits allowance covering health, dental, vision insurance at no additional cost.
  • FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt.
  • Open until filled.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • RN III: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, valid permanent Oklahoma RN license, one year of professional nursing experience; or Associate in Nursing with two years of nursing experience; or Associate in Nursing with three years LPN experience in psychiatric nursing.

Special Physical Requirements

Applicants must pass a physical examination and be able to lift or carry 50 pounds, push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
