Job summary

State of Iowa is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join its correctional health team in Newton. You will provide high-quality nursing care in a secure setting, supporting medical and mental health for inmates and coordinating with the healthcare team to implement treatment plans and discharge processes.

The role offers a stable schedule (1p–11p) with comprehensive benefits, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for new state employees.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Iowa or a compact state.
• Experience in correctional healthcare is a plus.
• Ability to work a 1p–11p shift and adapt to a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in a correctional healthcare setting.

The hours would be 1p-11p however different schedule can be discussed with the Supervisor.

There is also a $3,000 sign on bonus if you aren't already a state employee. $1500 paid on your first check and the remaining $1500 at the completion of your 6 months. Current state employees are not eligible for recruitment payments upon transfer, demotion, or promotion to another agency.
