As a PRN NICU Registered Nurse at East Cooper Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in supporting newborns who require additional medical attention while guiding and comforting families through some of their most challenging and meaningful moments. Our Level II Special Care Nursery provides expert care for infants needing services such as respiratory support, tube feeding, and specialized monitoring in a collaborative, family-centered environment.
Our NICU team is made up of highly skilled nurses, neonatal specialists, respiratory therapists, pediatric providers, and support staff who are passionate about delivering exceptional neonatal care. Provide specialized nursing care to neonates requiring enhanced monitoring and medical support.Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in infant conditions while utilizing critical thinking and evidence-based practice.Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive care.Support and educate parents and caregivers regarding their infant's condition, treatment plan, feeding needs, and discharge preparation.Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with NICU standards and hospital protocols.Maintain accurate documentation and ensure a safe, healing environment for patients and families.Serve as a trusted advocate for infants and their families while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
