Job summary

Seven Hills Foundation seeks a Registered Nurse for the SHNC Residential Care setting in Middleton, MA. Salary is $41/hour with a Monday–Friday schedule, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and some on-call responsibilities.

The role requires an RN license, an associate degree, and at least one year of related experience. The RN will advocate for participants, coordinate medical services, and communicate with the Health Care Director and other staff.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for medical needs of participants in SHNC Residential Care.
• Coordinate and supervise medical services.
• Manage on-call responsibilities.
• Assess and coordinate healthcare for participants.
• Increase nursing hours where applicable with oversight.
• Communicate medical issues to Health Care Director and staff.
• Assist transportation to medical appointments.
• Maintain and supervise medical supports.
• MAP oversight with compliance reports.
• Attend staff meetings and provide medical in-service training.
• Complete reports per regulations.
• Facilitate physician communication for medical info and treatment.
• Document medical needs and interventions in TIER.
• Advise Health Care Director of medical problems affecting progress.
• Foster respect and dignity in care, mindful of age and culture.
• Implement procedures and services as assigned by Health Care Director.

Registered Nurse

Pay: $41/hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, with flexibility to meet client needs. Some on call required.

Responsibilities

• To advocate for all medical needs of assigned program participants, focusing on optimal health for all individuals in the SHNC Residential Care setting.
• To Supervise the coordination of medical services.
• Hrs as assigned by supervisor; on call responsibilities
• Assess and coordinate healthcare and services for participants.
• Select programs have a greater number of assigned nursing hours and thereby a greater oversight responsibility.
• Institute appropriate follow up and communicate all medical issues to: Residential Manager, Health Care Director, Area Director, and any other appropriate SHNC staff.
• Assist and transport individuals in designated programs with their medical appointments as recommended by their physicians and DDS standards.
• Maintain, Review, and Supervise medical supports.
• MAP oversight with reports to facilitate compliance.
• Attend and participate in residential staff meetings and provide in-service training of residential staff on medical topics as needed.
• Complete reports in accordance with regulations.
• Facilitate effective communication with participant’s physician to obtain medical information and treatment.
• Document medical needs of participants and interventions as needed in TIER.
• Advise the Health Care Director of any medical problems that may hinder a person’s progress or placement in current residential setting.
• To foster the growth of individuals and to treat them with respect, dignity and in an age and culturally appropriate manner.
• To be familiar with the regulations and statutes governing and insuring the human rights of program participants.
• To implement procedures and services including medical interventions, or additional duties, as assigned by the Health Care Director Community Services, Inc.
• Personal PTO - (Minimum 20 hour regular part-time schedule - does not apply to per diem)
