Job summary

Senior Helpers of Melbourne is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team part-time. This role centers on Start of Care assessments, care planning, and coordinating with physicians, therapists, and families to keep seniors safe at home.

The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships with clients, performing assessments, and supervising caregivers while managing an independent schedule in a flexible weekday framework.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license in good standing.
• 2+ years nursing experience preferred.
• Home Health, Hospice, Case Management, or Geriatric experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your schedule.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete Start of Care assessments for home health and private duty clients.
• Perform nursing assessments and supervisory visits.
• Develop and update individualized care plans.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, caregivers, and family members.
• Educate clients and families regarding disease management and safety.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and agency policies.
• Maintain timely and accurate electronic documentation.
• Participate in quality assurance and clinical oversight activities.
• Assist with new client admissions as needed.
