Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at a drug and alcohol treatment facility. The RN will be responsible for providing patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and delivering nursing care. Discovery Institute is a 120‑bed inpatient substance abuse treatment facility providing exceptional services for individuals with substance use disorders. We provide medical care to 38 detox patients. Individuals applying have a passion for helping those heal from addictive disorders, and find it rewarding in knowing clients, families, and communities benefit from the treatment we provide.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or relevant field
• Proven experience as an RN, preferably in a behavioral health or substance abuse treatment facility
• Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to work in a fast‑paced environment

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health and record signs
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with treatment plans
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan and adjust patient care strategies
• Educate patients and their families on substance abuse treatment and recovery
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Follow facility policies and procedures related to patient care and confidentiality
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients
