Job summary

Abraxas Youth and Family Services in Marienville, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse for a regular part-time role. The RN will perform nursing assessments, contribute to treatment planning, and deliver direct patient care while promoting health, safety, and wellness among clients.

The position requires PA RN licensure, independent work, Safe Crisis Management certification, and compliance with background checks and drug testing. Training provided and career-impact opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• Ability to self-start, work independently and adhere to timelines with minimal assistance.
• Ability to participate and maintain Safe Crisis Management (SCM) certification.
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Driver's License.
• Physical exam including TB and drug testing.
• Criminal clearances (State Police, FBI and State Child Abuse Clearances).
• Background screening and pre-employment checks completed.

Responsibilities

• Make appropriate referrals to the contracted physician(s) and other medical agencies or practitioners.
• Perform required nursing assessments and develop the medical portion of the treatment plan.
• Provide direct patient care by observing, assessing and recording symptoms, reactions, and progress; assist during treatments.
• Promote good health habits, proper hygiene, and nutrition with all clients.
• Ensure patient safety, including reporting incidents and medication errors.
• Control and maintain adequate inventory of drugs and medical supplies.
