Job summary

The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking an RN to join the Home Visiting Program in Lowndes County, GA. You will provide professional nursing care during home visits for prenatal and postpartum women and their infants, following established nurse protocols.

This full-time, grant-funded position offers a comprehensive benefits package and requires an active Georgia RN license with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• PHN course completed within one year of hire with Georgia RN license.
• Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification.

• Serve patients in the South Health District within the DPH Home Visiting Program.

Examples of duties

Under supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures.

This RN will serve patients in South Health District in the DPH Home Visiting Program.

Patient Home Visits will be conducted with prenatal and postpartum women and infants up to age one per the DPH Home Visiting Program manual.

Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and completion of a PHN course within one (1) year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification.
