Totally Kids Specialty Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our pediatric sub-acute team in Sun Valley, CA. You will oversee clinical staff (LVN, CNA, RT), perform doctor rounds, transcribe orders, manage admissions and discharges, and respond to urgent needs.

We offer 12-hour shifts, a full-time schedule 3 days per week, with competitive pay ($47–$49 per hour), and night/weekend differentials plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Benefits include health/dental, 401(k), PTO, and more.

Totally Kids Specialty Healthcare is a small pediatric sub-acute hospital with 45 patients. We are the ONLY long-term care hospital dedicated entirely to children. Our residents' ages range from newborn to 21 years of age and we are dedicated to enriching the health and quality of life for our kids. We are always striving to meet the medical, developmental, social, psychological, and spiritual needs of our kids. We are looking for a skilled RN (Registered Nurse) to become a part of our facility's compassionate caregiving team. The RN is responsible for overseeing Clinical Staff: LVN, CNA, and RT. RN. Completing Doctor rounds, transcribing orders, admission, discharge, and responding to urgent/ emergent needs. One unit with one Charge RN.

We can offer a full-time job with 12 hours shifts. Flexibility only works 3 days a week to be full-time.

Qualifications: Must have a current California Registered Nursing License, BLS certification, and Fire and Life Safety card.

Wage Range

• Starting at $47/h - $49/hr based on experience.
• Night differential: Wage + $1/h.
• Weekend differential: Wage + $1/h.
• Referral Bonus.
• Sign-on Bonus of $1,000.

Physical Requirements

• Reading, writing, and verbal skills.
• Lifting requirements: Generally not lifting or carrying objects that weigh greater than 30 pounds.

Physical Skills Necessary To Operate Equipment

• Must be able to stand, reach in all directions, lift and carry objects.
• Must have fine motor skills.
• Must be able to read patient information, posted materials, and other printed material.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and listen in English with a skill level essential for communication in a sub-acute facility.
• Must have normal physical stamina.
• Must be able to perform chest compressions and hand resuscitator ventilation during CPR.
• Must be able to bend and twist.
• Must have full use of both hands.
• Must be able to walk intermittently, for six to ten hours per shift.
• Ability to concentrate, use good judgment, and maintain accuracy in the face of frequent interruptions and heavy workload.

Education Provided

Many opportunities for In-service hours. BLS and FIRE classes are provided by the facility and you get paid for your time in those classes. We offer frequent Skills training and assessment - to stay up-to-date with changes in healthcare.
