Job summary

ADP, Inc. Staff Nurse in an inpatient behavioral health setting. Positions are available for full- or part-time nights. You will provide nursing care using the nursing process, develop treatment plans, document progress, and maintain a safe therapeutic environment for patients.

Requirements include an accredited nursing program graduate, Michigan RN license; BSN preferred; two years of nursing experience with psychiatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN licensed in the State of Michigan.
• BSN preferred.
• Two years of nursing experience, with an additional year of psychiatric nursing experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process in planning, providing, and evaluating patient care; produce written nursing assessments and individualized care plans.
• Develop measurable goals on the Individualized Treatment Plan in collaboration with the treatment team and patient.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses on progress notes, utilizing AIR charting.
• Provide a safe, therapeutic environment that protects patient rights.
• Establish therapeutic relationships with patients; assist patients in developing coping mechanisms.
• Encourage independent behavior in patients using age-appropriate methods.

The Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse who provides nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process.

Duties

Schedule and Premium Pay

• Staff work 12-hour shifts, 7 AM to 7:30 PM and 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Shift premiums are provided for nights and weekends .
• Unless arranged otherwise during the interview and selection process, weekday staff will be assigned to work every other weekend.
