Job summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse at Roswell Correctional Center in Hagerman, NM. Schedule: Tue–Fri 7a–4:30p and Sat 9a–1p. Pay rate: $55.00/hour plus eligible shift differentials. You will assess health needs, administer medications, and guide treatment plans within a correctional care environment.

You’ll lead, teach, and advocate for patients while collaborating with healthcare and correctional staff to ensure high-quality care and safety across the unit.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted RN license in state of practice.
• 1–2 years of nursing experience (correctional experience preferred).
• Active CPR certification.
• Strong clinical and communication skills; adaptability in high-pressure settings.
• A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical and mental health needs and administer medications.
• Guide treatment plans from start to finish and support patient education.
• Refer timely and help maintain safety and standards across the unit.
• Manage medications, mentor staff, and respond to crises as needed.

Position Summary

You’ll play a key role in supporting patient education, making timely referrals, and helping maintain safety and standards across the unit.
