Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources in Gulfport, MS is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve the PACT team and guide patients to needed supports to maximize health and wellness in the community.

The role requires an ADN and MS RN licensure, with on-site schedule Mon-Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm plus on-call duties. This team-based, 24/7 oriented model emphasizes integrated care across medication management, therapy, social supports, housing, and employment.

Qualifications

• ADN in Nursing required.
• Valid RN license in MS required.
• Must have valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Good communication, relationship building, and time management skills.
• Working knowledge of mental health symptoms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guides each patient in the appropriate supports needed to maximize health and wellness.
• Monitors and maintains record of client services within electronic medical records in accordance to PBMHR, DMH, and CARF standards.
• Monitors consumers receiving medication; provides injections as needed.
• Closely follows the progress of each consumer including follow up efforts after discharge.
• Provides individual nursing assessment and evaluation/therapy.
• Participates in team staffings and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Provides clinical therapy services and emergency services to consumers and their families.
• May provide transportation for consumers in personal vehicle.

Summary

Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is actively seeking a Registered Nurse to provide services for the PACT team in Gulfport, MS. The Registered Nurse position is responsible for guiding each patient to the appropriate supports needed to maximize health and wellness. This position will provide nursing services in the community.

Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 om with some scheduled on-call work required.

Programs for Assertive community treatment (PACT) is a team-based treatment model that provides multidisciplinary, flexible treatment and support to people with mental illness 24/7. PACT is based around the idea that people receive better care when their mental health care providers work together. PACT team members help the person address every aspect of their life, whether it be medication, therapy, social support, employment or housing.

PAT is mostly used for people who have transferred out of an inpatient setting but would benefit from a similar level of care and having the comfort of living a more independent life than would be possible with inpatient care.
